Description of the workshop
- This workshop aims at arousing interests of participants in mechanisms in mechanical systems through assembling an 8-legged walker. This walker incorporates the Klann's linkage mechanism, which simulates the gait of legged animal. Also, this walker is mostly constructed by components which are "commercial off-the-shelf" (COTS) and with a few 3D printed ones, which means that they can be easily purchased from external companies and can be re-created by general public easily.
- 本工作坊旨在通過組裝8足步行機器人激發參與者對機械結構的興趣。這款步行機器人採用了 Klann Linkage (六連桿結構)，可以模擬動物腿部的步伐。此外，這款步行機器人主要由「現成商業產品」（COTS) 和一些 DIY 3D 打印的組件構成，這代表公眾可以容易購買現成零件，並加入自製組件進行二次創作。

Notes:
- Each session will accommodate 5 teams, each team is expected to have 1 teacher and at most 4 students
Participation by Schools
Schools can participate in two ways:
- Provide helpers in running workshop
- each school is expected to provide at least 5 students as helpers, with each student helping one team during a workshop session
- school can offer support for one session, or can be more
- a training session will be offered to helpers, most likely in the week of 27 Sep 2021
- school offering students as helpers will be acknowledged as "collaborating organization" in the workshop and promotion materials
